Priority Pass Lounges USA: Which Airports Have Real Ones

By Krit · Updated · How we research

Lounge access rules change often — confirm in the lounge's app or the card's benefits page before you fly.

Priority Pass lists more than 1,900 airport lounges and experiences worldwide, but in the US the coverage is patchy: many big airports have one or two real lounges, and several hubs (Denver, LaGuardia, Newark, Philadelphia, Salt Lake City, Austin) have no Priority Pass lounge at all, only spas, nap pods or a restaurant. And none of the big premium cards — Amex Platinum, Chase Sapphire Reserve, Capital One Venture X, Citi Strata Elite — includes the Priority Pass restaurant credits anymore.

Airports with no Priority Pass lounge

These are big airports where Priority Pass gets you an experience, not a lounge:

Airport What Priority Pass offers instead
Priority Pass DEN (Denver) Golf simulator and a restaurant (Mercantile Dining & Provision, Concourse A)
Priority Pass LGA (New York) Be Relax Spa (Terminal B)
Priority Pass EWR (Newark) Be Relax Spa and Minute Suites
Priority Pass PHL (Philadelphia) Be Relax Spa, Minute Suites, XpresSpa
Priority Pass SLC (Salt Lake City) Minute Suites, XpresSpa
Priority Pass AUS (Austin) No lounge; at most a phone-booth work pod

At these airports the restaurant listings matter only if your card still includes restaurants, and the big four premium cards don't. Plan on your card's own lounge network instead: Centurion at DEN, LGA and SLC (PHL's is closed from Oct. 16, 2026 until an expected end-2027 reopening); Chase at LGA and PHL; Capital One at DEN and LGA.

Real lounges vs. restaurants and experiences

Priority Pass started adding non-lounge "experiences" years ago, and a restaurant used to mean a fixed per-person credit toward your bill. That made a restaurant almost as good as a lounge at airports without one. The issuers have since cut them:

  • Capital One Venture X: restaurants, spas and nap pods removed Jan. 1, 2023. Lounges only.
  • Chase Sapphire Reserve: no restaurant credits — lounges only, the same as Chase's other Priority Pass cards (Ritz-Carlton, J.P. Morgan Reserve).
  • Amex Platinum and Business Platinum: Priority Pass is lounges only.
  • Citi Strata Elite: launched without restaurant access.

A handful of smaller-issuer cards still include restaurants. If that matters to you, check your own card's Priority Pass terms, because the list keeps shrinking. Check the Priority Pass app for exactly what your membership covers at each airport.

Also note that Priority Pass generally doesn't include US airline clubs. You won't get into an Admirals Club, Delta Sky Club or United Club with it. See Admirals Club access, Delta Sky Club access and United Club access.

What changed in 2026

Date Change
Jan. 15, 2026 Ritz-Carlton card: unlimited Priority Pass guests cut to two free, then $27 each
Feb. 1, 2026 Personal Venture X: free Priority Pass guests eliminated, now $35 each; authorized users need a $125/year add-on (Venture X Business keeps two free guests)
Spring 2026 New Plaza Premium Lounge in DFW Terminal D (opened Mar. 9) left Priority Pass
July 1, 2026 Showers no longer included at The Club lounges in CLT, DFW, LAS, PIT and SJC; Virgin Atlantic Clubhouse showers at JFK, IAD and SFO cost $15
Aug. 15, 2026 Chase Sapphire Lounges left Priority Pass and LoungeKey; non-Chase members lost the one free visit per year
Oct. 1, 2026 Amex Platinum lost Lufthansa lounge access (separate benefit, but the same lounges often appeared in Priority Pass searches)

Which cards include Priority Pass

Card Annual fee Priority Pass guests
Amex Platinum / Business Platinum $895 Two free per visit
Chase Sapphire Reserve $795 Two free per visit
Citi Strata Elite $595 Two free per visit; authorized users get their own membership
Capital One Venture X $395 $35 per guest since Feb. 2026
Capital One Venture X Business $395 Two free per visit

All of these are Priority Pass Select memberships covering lounges only. You usually need to enroll in Priority Pass through your card's benefits page before your first visit (Citi lets you show the Strata Elite card itself at the desk). Lounges can turn Priority Pass members away when they're full, which happens often at The Club lounges at peak times.

Which card should you use for Priority Pass?

  • You fly alone, mostly domestic: Venture X. At $395 it's the cheapest way in, and guests don't matter to you.
  • You travel with a partner or kids: Sapphire Reserve or Citi Strata Elite, both with two free guests. Strata Elite adds four Admirals Club passes a year if you fly American.
  • You want the most lounges in one card: Amex Platinum. Priority Pass with two free guests is just one layer on top of Centurion Lounges and Delta Sky Club visits on Delta flights.

FAQ

Does Priority Pass still include restaurants? Priority Pass still lists restaurants, but the Priority Pass memberships from the Amex Platinum, Chase Sapphire Reserve, Capital One Venture X and Citi Strata Elite don't cover them. Only a few smaller-issuer cards still do.

Can I use Priority Pass at Chase Sapphire Lounges? Only with a Priority Pass that came from an eligible Chase card. Since Aug. 15, 2026, Sapphire Lounges are out of the Priority Pass network for everyone else.

Which US airports have no Priority Pass lounge? Among large airports: Denver, LaGuardia, Newark, Philadelphia, Salt Lake City and Austin. They have spas, sleep suites or restaurants at best.

Does Priority Pass get me into the Delta Sky Club or Admirals Club? No. US airline clubs aren't part of Priority Pass. You need an airline card, membership or elite status.

How many guests can I bring on Priority Pass? It depends on the card. Amex Platinum, Sapphire Reserve, Citi Strata Elite and Venture X Business allow two free guests; the personal Venture X charges $35 per guest.

Can a Priority Pass lounge turn me away? Yes. Lounges can limit Priority Pass entry when they're at capacity, and some restrict it to certain hours. Check the app before you walk over.
