Centurion Lounge Locations: Every US Lounge (2026 List)

By Krit · Updated · How we research

Lounge access rules change often — confirm in the lounge's app or the card's benefits page before you fly.

There are 16 American Express Centurion Lounges in the US right now, plus one smaller "Sidecar by The Centurion Lounge" in Las Vegas. Philadelphia closes for a long renovation in October 2026, Newark's lounge is now expected in 2027, and Boston and a second Charlotte Sidecar are further out. The card that gets you in is the Amex Platinum ($895) or Business Platinum ($895); Delta Reserve cardholders get in only on Delta flights.

Delta Reserve cardholders can use any of these lounges when flying Delta on a ticket bought with the card; the table flags the Delta hubs and focus cities where that matters most. Hours vary by lounge and change seasonally, so check them in the Amex app before you go.

Who gets in

Platinum and Business Platinum. The primary cardmember gets in free with a same-day boarding pass on any airline. Guests cost $50 per adult and $30 per child aged 2–17; children under 2 are free. Guests have to be on the same flight as you. Spending $75,000 in a calendar year on the card unlocks complimentary guests (two per visit). A family of four with one Platinum card pays $110 per visit in guest fees, which adds up fast — see the Platinum guide for how the spend unlock works.

Delta SkyMiles Reserve (personal and business). You get in only when you're flying Delta that day and paid for the ticket with your Reserve card. You can bring up to two guests at $50 each. See the Delta Amex cards guide.

Centurion (the black card). Free entry plus two complimentary guests or immediate family, who don't need to be on your flight.

Timing rules. You can enter up to 3 hours before departure, or up to 5 hours before your next flight if you're connecting. There is no access on arrival. The Sidecar is stricter: you have to be within 90 minutes of departure.

What doesn't work. Priority Pass does not get you into a Centurion Lounge, and neither does the Amex Gold, Green, or Delta Platinum card. If you plan to add an authorized user for lounge access, check which authorized-user card type Amex issues and whether it carries Centurion access before you pay for it.

Lounge-by-lounge notes

Centurion Lounge ATL, JFK, LGA, SLC and SEA. These are Delta hubs or focus cities, so they're the lounges where Delta Reserve holders show up too. Salt Lake City is the newest full lounge, opened October 2025 in Concourse B. At JFK and LGA the lounges are in the terminals Delta uses (T4 and Terminal B), so check whether your airline is airside-connected before you plan on a visit.

Centurion Lounge DFW and IAH. Both are in Terminal D, the international terminal. At DFW you can reach Terminal D from any terminal by Skylink, so American flyers in C or E still use it. Amex has announced a DFW expansion (roughly 50% bigger, expected 2027) and an IAH rebuild that grows the lounge from about 8,000 to 23,000 square feet, expected by 2028; Amex hasn't said whether IAH will close during the work. See DFW lounges and IAH lounges.

Centurion Lounge CLT. At the D/E intersection, convenient for American's regional flights. A second, smaller Sidecar is planned for Concourse A in 2027. See CLT lounges.

Centurion Lounge SFO. The original Terminal 3 lounge closed in mid-2025 for the terminal rebuild. A smaller temporary lounge is in Terminal 2 near gate D12 (the old Alaska Lounge space) until the permanent lounge reopens, expected in 2027. All SFO terminals are connected airside, so anyone departing SFO can walk to it. See SFO lounges.

Centurion Lounge LAX. In the Tom Bradley International Terminal, reachable airside from terminals 4–8. If you're flying from Terminals 1–3, factor in the walk. See LAX lounges.

Centurion Lounge LAS (plus the Sidecar). The full Centurion Lounge sits opposite gate D1, and the Sidecar opened next to it in March 2026. The Sidecar holds about 33 people, serves made-to-order plates ordered by QR code, and only lets you in within 90 minutes of departure. Guest fees match the Centurion rules. See LAS lounges.

Centurion Lounge PHL. Amex is doubling the PHL lounge to more than 12,000 square feet over two floors. It closes for construction in October 2026 (reports cite Oct. 16 and Oct. 26) and is expected back by the end of 2027. Until then, PHL has no Centurion Lounge; the Chase Sapphire Lounge in the D/E connector is the main credit-card option.

Centurion Lounge MIA, DEN, PHX and DCA. Steady, busy lounges. Miami's is on the fourth floor of Concourse D; Denver's is on the Concourse C mezzanine, so United flyers in B have a train ride. See MIA lounges, DEN lounges, PHX lounges and DCA lounges.

Announced and coming

Lounge Where Expected
Centurion Lounge EWR (Newark) New Terminal A, about 30,000 sq ft 2027 (pushed from earlier 2026 estimates)
Sidecar CLT (Charlotte) Concourse A 2027
Centurion Lounge BOS (Boston) Terminal C 2029
DFW expansion Existing Terminal D lounge 2027
PHL rebuild Existing Terminal A West lounge End of 2027
IAH expansion Existing Terminal D lounge 2028

Amex also announced a second London Heathrow lounge, in Terminal 5, for 2028. Treat all of these dates as estimates; several have already slipped.

Is Centurion access worth $895?

For most people the Platinum card isn't worth it for Centurion Lounges alone. It makes sense if you regularly fly through two or three of the airports above, use enough of the card's credits to offset the fee, and value the rest of the Global Lounge Collection (Delta Sky Club visits on Delta flights, Priority Pass with two free guests, Escape and Plaza Premium lounges). Note that Lufthansa lounges dropped out of the Platinum benefit on Oct. 1, 2026. If your home airport has a Capital One or Chase Sapphire lounge instead, the Venture X or Sapphire Reserve may cover you for less. Our best lounge card comparison runs the numbers.

FAQ

How many Centurion Lounges are there in the US? As of October 2026 there are 16 full Centurion Lounges in the US plus the Sidecar in Las Vegas. Philadelphia is about to close for renovation until late 2027, which temporarily drops the count to 15 full lounges.

How much does it cost to bring a guest into a Centurion Lounge? With a Platinum or Business Platinum card, guests are $50 per adult and $30 per child aged 2–17, and children under 2 are free. Guests must be on your flight. Spending $75,000 on the card in a calendar year makes two guests per visit complimentary.

Can I use a Centurion Lounge when I land? No. Access is for departing flights only, within 3 hours of departure, or within 5 hours of your next flight on a connection.

Can I get into a Centurion Lounge with the Delta Reserve card? Yes, but only when you're flying Delta that day on a ticket bought with your Reserve card. Up to two guests can come in at $50 each.

Does Priority Pass get me into Centurion Lounges? No. Centurion Lounges are Amex-only. Priority Pass that comes with the Platinum card works at separate lounges, which is covered in our Priority Pass USA guide.

Is there a Centurion Lounge at Newark or Boston? Not yet. Newark's Terminal A lounge is expected in 2027, and Boston's Terminal C lounge is expected around 2029.
