Lounge access rules change often — confirm in the lounge's app or the card's benefits page before you fly.
Tampa is a busy Southwest-led airport with an excellent terminal, but TPA lounge access is limited to two airline clubs: a Delta Sky Club and an American Admirals Club. There's no Centurion Lounge at TPA and no Priority Pass TPA lounge, so the best credit card for Tampa flyers is an airline card for the airline you actually fly.

Quick answer
- Best overall for TPA lounge access: Amex Platinum — includes the Delta Sky Club on Delta flights (10 visits a year). No Centurion Lounge or Priority Pass lounge at TPA.
- Best value for Priority Pass: None at Tampa. Capital One Venture X and Sapphire Reserve only pay off at the airports you connect through.
- Best for frequent Delta flyers: Delta SkyMiles Reserve with Sky Club access in Airside E
- Best for frequent American flyers: Citi AAdvantage Executive with Admirals Club access in Airside F — see our Citi AAdvantage guide
Airport snapshot
Southwest carries the most passengers at TPA, followed by the big network airlines. The main terminal is the landside hub; each of the four airsides (A, C, E and F) is reached by its own shuttle and has its own security checkpoint. The only lounges are in Airside E (Delta) and Airside F (American); United and JetBlue flyers in Airside A have none. A new Airside D is under construction with a relocated, roughly 18,000-square-foot Delta Sky Club and a second lounge, expected to open around 2028–2029.
Where to go by terminal
| Terminal | Airlines | Lounges there |
|---|---|---|
| Airside A | JetBlue, United, others | None |
| Airside C | Southwest | None |
| Airside E | Delta | Delta Sky Club |
| Airside F | American, international carriers | Admirals Club |
| Main Terminal (landside) | All | USO Center (military only) |
The airsides are not connected after security. You can only use the lounge in the airside you depart from, so the Sky Club is for Delta flyers and the Admirals Club for American and oneworld flyers.
St. Pete-Clearwater (PIE): Allegiant's base across the bay has no commercial lounge and no Priority Pass location.
Lounges at TPA
Delta Sky Club TPA
- Location: Airside E, near gate 68.
- Access: Same-day Delta flight (not Basic Economy). Delta SkyMiles Reserve (15 visits a year), Amex Platinum and Business Platinum (10 visits a year; unlimited after $75,000 in annual spend), Sky Club members, Delta One passengers and eligible Medallion and SkyTeam Elite Plus members. Delta doesn't sell day passes.
- Guest policy: $50 per guest, up to two; Reserve cardholders get four free guest passes a year.
- Best for: Delta flyers. Delta plans to move to a new, larger club in Airside D when it opens.
Admirals Club TPA
- Location: Airside F, adjacent to gate 85.
- Access: Admirals Club members (including Citi AAdvantage Executive cardholders), AA elites and premium-cabin passengers on qualifying itineraries, and $79 day passes (or 7,900 miles), with a same-day American or oneworld boarding pass. Day passes depend on capacity.
- Guest policy: Members can bring immediate family or up to two guests.
- Best for: American flyers, and Citi Strata Elite holders using one of their four annual Admirals Club passes.
Central Florida USO Center
- Location: Main Terminal, Level 2 ticketing level near the British Airways counter, before security.
- Access: Active-duty military and families, plus eligible retirees.
- Guest policy: Set by the USO.
- Best for: Military travelers only.
Priority Pass at TPA
- Access: Priority Pass's own directory lists no Tampa location as of October 2026. Guides have mentioned a Priority Pass restaurant credit at The Café by Mise en Place, but that wouldn't help Amex Platinum, Sapphire Reserve, Venture X or Strata Elite holders anyway, since their memberships are lounges-only.
Best credit cards for TPA
| Card | Annual fee | Lounges you get at TPA | Guests | Best if you… |
|---|---|---|---|---|

| Citi AAdvantage Executive | $695 | Admirals Club | Family or 2 | Fly American often |
| Amex Platinum | $895 | Sky Club on Delta (10 visits) | $50 each | Want lounges elsewhere too |
| Citi Strata Elite | $595 | 4 Admirals Club passes/yr | Pass rules | Fly American a few times a year |
| Capital One Venture X | $395 | None at TPA | — | Connect through hubs |
Citi raised the AAdvantage Executive fee to $695 for new accounts from August 23, 2026.
Recommended strategy
- If you fly Delta often from TPA: Delta SkyMiles Reserve. The Sky Club is the only lounge in Airside E, and the visit cap of 15 a year covers most Tampa-based travelers.
- If you fly American often from TPA: Citi AAdvantage Executive. If you fly American only a few times a year, Strata Elite's four Admirals Club passes plus Priority Pass elsewhere may be the better mix.
- If you fly Southwest, United or JetBlue from TPA: No card gets you a lounge in Airsides A or C — there's no United Club at Tampa. Southwest's first lounges, opening from late 2027 with a new Chase card, aren't planned for Tampa in the first group.
- If you want one card that covers the best lounges: Amex Platinum still makes sense if you connect through Centurion airports, but at Tampa it only adds the Sky Club on Delta flights.
No card? Day passes & other options
The Admirals Club sells day passes ($79 or 7,900 miles) to American and oneworld passengers when capacity allows. Delta doesn't sell Sky Club passes. Otherwise, TPA's airsides have good seating and dining, which is part of why the lack of lounges hurts less here than elsewhere.
FAQ
Is there a Centurion Lounge at TPA? No. There's no Centurion Lounge at TPA. Amex Platinum holders can use the Delta Sky Club when flying Delta.
Does Priority Pass work at TPA? No. There's no Priority Pass TPA lounge, and Priority Pass's directory lists no Tampa location. Premium-card Priority Pass memberships are lounges-only, so they're no help here.
Is Tampa getting new lounges? Yes, eventually. The new Airside D will have a larger Delta Sky Club of about 18,000 square feet and a second lounge, with opening expected around 2028–2029.
Amex Platinum vs Sapphire Reserve vs Venture X: which is best at TPA? Platinum is the only one that gets you into a lounge at Tampa, and only the Sky Club on a Delta flight. Sapphire Reserve and Venture X get nothing at TPA because there's no Priority Pass lounge. Choose between them based on the airports you connect through.
