Lounge access rules change often — confirm in the lounge's app or the card's benefits page before you fly.
Changi is Singapore Airlines' hub and the end of some of the world's longest flights from Newark, New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco and Seattle. For US cardholders, SIN lounge access is a Priority Pass story: ten Priority Pass lounges spread across four terminals and Jewel, most open 24 hours. There's no Centurion Lounge at SIN, and no Chase or Capital One lounge.

Recommended strategy
- If you fly Singapore Airlines or United often: Star Alliance Gold beats any card; the KrisFlyer Gold and SilverKris lounges are the best on offer to most travelers.
- If you want one card that covers the best lounges: Any Priority Pass card works well at SIN; the Platinum adds direct Plaza Premium entry and the Centurion lounges you'll pass in Hong Kong or Tokyo.
- If you want strong lounges at a lower cost: Venture X; ten Priority Pass lounges, most open 24 hours, for $395, but $35 per guest.
- If you travel as a couple or family: Sapphire Reserve's two free Priority Pass guests save real money on long Changi layovers.
- If you're on a long layover: Stay airside in T1–T3 and lounge-hop, or use Changi's free transit attractions between lounge visits.
No card? Day passes & other options
Most Changi Priority Pass lounges also sell paid entry, and the Ambassador Transit Lounges sell timed packages, some with showers. The Changi Lounge in Jewel sells passes too.
FAQ
Is there a Centurion Lounge at Singapore Changi? No. Amex Platinum cardholders use Priority Pass lounges and the Plaza Premium Lounge in Terminal 1. The nearest Centurion Lounges are in Hong Kong and Tokyo Haneda.
Can I use a lounge in a different terminal at Changi? Yes for Terminals 1, 2 and 3, which connect airside by Skytrain; security screening happens at your gate. Terminal 4 is separate, so use the Blossom lounge if you're departing from there.
Amex Platinum vs Sapphire Reserve vs Venture X at SIN? All three get you Priority Pass lounges in every terminal. The Platinum adds direct Plaza Premium access in Terminal 1, Sapphire Reserve gives couples two free guests, and Venture X is the cheapest option if you travel alone.
Does a US card get me into the Singapore Airlines lounges? No. They're for Singapore Airlines and Star Alliance premium passengers and elites. United Premier Gold and above get KrisFlyer Gold Lounge access on Star flights.
Is there a lounge I can use after landing at Changi? The Changi Lounge in Jewel is landside and takes Priority Pass, so it works after you clear immigration.
