Lounge access rules change often — confirm in the lounge's app or the card's benefits page before you fly.
Kahului is Maui's main airport, with Hawaiian running interisland and mainland flights and Alaska, United, Delta, American and Southwest flying to the mainland. OGG lounge access is limited to Hawaiian's two small Premier Clubs, and both are Priority Pass OGG lounges, open to travelers on any airline. That makes the best credit card for Maui flyers any card with Priority Pass. There's no Centurion Lounge at OGG and no mainland airline club.

Quick answer
- Best overall for OGG lounge access: Amex Platinum — includes Priority Pass for both Premier Clubs. There's no Centurion Lounge at OGG.
- Best value for Priority Pass: Capital One Venture X — $395 for both Premier Clubs; guests pay $35 each. No Capital One Lounge here.
- Best for families: Chase Sapphire Reserve — Priority Pass with two free guests, which matters on a vacation airport.
- Best for frequent Hawaiian flyers: a Priority Pass card. The Atmos Rewards Summit lounge passes work only in Alaska Lounges, not Hawaiian's Premier Clubs.
Airport snapshot
OGG is a single main terminal. Turning right past the central shops and food court takes you toward gates 1–16, and turning left toward gate 17 and beyond. Hawaiian runs both lounges: the South Premier Club opposite gate 15 and the original Premier Club opposite gate 17. United, Delta, American and Alaska have no clubs at OGG.
Where to go by terminal
- Gates 1–16 (right side): South Premier Club, opposite gate 15. Domestic flights only, and open only a mid-day window.
- Gate 17 side (left): Premier Club, opposite gate 17. Open most of the day, and the better bet for early or evening flights.
- Both are in the same terminal, but give yourself time to walk back to your gate. A 2025 review found the South club doesn't broadcast boarding announcements.
Lounges at OGG
Hawaiian Airlines Premier Club (Gate 17)
- Location: Second floor, opposite gate 17.
- Access: Priority Pass (entry from 3 hours before departure); Hawaiian first-class passengers; eligible Atmos Rewards elites on Hawaiian or Alaska flights. Amex lists it for Platinum holders through Priority Pass enrollment.
- Guest policy: Priority Pass guests follow your card's rules. Children under 2 enter free.
- Best for: Most OGG departures, since it keeps the longest hours. Expect soft drinks and light snacks, not a meal.
Hawaiian Airlines South Premier Club (Gate 15)
- Location: Second floor, airside, opposite gate 15. Opened December 2024 and holds about 36 guests.
- Access: Priority Pass (domestic flights only, entry from 3 hours before departure, 3-hour maximum stay); Hawaiian first-class passengers; eligible Atmos Rewards elites.
- Guest policy: Priority Pass guests follow your card's rules. Children under 2 enter free.
- Best for: A quiet seat near the low-numbered gates. A 2025 review found a single drink station, chips, Wi-Fi and seating, with no food, alcohol or restrooms.
Priority Pass at OGG
- Hawaiian Premier Club — opposite gate 17. Real lounge, basic.
- Hawaiian South Premier Club — opposite gate 15. Real lounge, very basic, domestic flights only.
- Access: Priority Pass Select from Amex Platinum, Sapphire Reserve, Venture X or Citi Strata Elite covers both. No Priority Pass restaurants are listed at OGG.

Recommended strategy
- If you fly Hawaiian interisland from OGG: Any Priority Pass card covers both clubs here and the Premier Club in Honolulu.
- If you're on a family vacation: Sapphire Reserve's two free guests beat Venture X's $35 per guest, which adds up fast for a family of four.
- If you want one card that covers the best lounges: Amex Platinum, but at OGG it gets you only what Priority Pass already does. Its edge is Centurion Lounges at your mainland airport.
- If you fly United, Delta or American to the mainland: Use the Priority Pass clubs here; there's no airline club for you at OGG.
No card? Day passes & other options
Hawaiian doesn't advertise day passes for its OGG Premier Clubs, and it stopped selling new Premier Club memberships in January 2025. Without Priority Pass, elite status or a first-class ticket, plan on the gate area.
FAQ
Is there a Centurion Lounge at OGG? No. There's no Centurion Lounge at OGG. Amex Platinum holders get into Hawaiian's two Premier Clubs through Priority Pass.
Does Priority Pass work at Maui airport? Yes. Priority Pass OGG covers both Hawaiian Premier Clubs: opposite gate 17 and opposite gate 15. The gate 15 club is for domestic flights only and keeps short hours.
Can I use the Premier Club if I'm flying United or Delta? Yes, with Priority Pass. Priority Pass entry doesn't depend on your airline, though the South club is limited to domestic flights.
Amex Platinum vs Sapphire Reserve vs Venture X: which is best at OGG? All three get the same two Premier Clubs through Priority Pass. Sapphire Reserve includes two free guests. Venture X costs $395 but charges $35 per guest. Platinum adds nothing extra at OGG. For Maui alone, Venture X (solo or a couple paying for one guest) or Sapphire Reserve (families) is the better value.
