Centurion Lounge New York (LGA): Access, Guests & Review

By Krit · Updated · How we research

Lounge access rules change often — confirm in the lounge's app or the card's benefits page before you fly.

The Centurion Lounge LGA is on level 4 of LaGuardia's Terminal B, after security, by the entrance to the eastern concourse pedestrian bridge. It's a solid lounge with a shower suite and a full bar. The catch is that only Terminal B flyers can reach it. If you fly American, United, JetBlue, Southwest or Air Canada and carry an Amex Platinum, it's worth arriving early for. Delta flyers in Terminal C can't get to it without leaving security and going through again.

How to get in

  • Amex Platinum or Business Platinum: Show the card, your ID and a same-day boarding pass on any airline. The cardholder gets in free. The Business Platinum page is here.
  • Centurion (the black card): Free entry with two complimentary guests, who don't have to be on your flight.
  • Delta SkyMiles Reserve: You only get in on a same-day Delta flight booked with the card. At LaGuardia Delta flies from Terminal C, so this route almost never works here. Reserve holders are better served by the Sky Club in Terminal C (Delta Sky Club access).
  • What doesn't work: Priority Pass, Amex Gold and Green, Delta Platinum, and day passes. Amex doesn't sell Centurion entry.

Guest policy

Since July 8, 2026, Platinum and Business Platinum guests cost $50 per adult and $30 per child aged 2–17, and every guest has to be on the same flight as you. Children under 2 get in free. If you spend $75,000 on the card in a calendar year, two guests per visit become complimentary. A couple flying American to Chicago pays $50 for the second person. A family of four pays $110 per visit.

That guest math is the main reason some LaGuardia flyers pick the Chase Sapphire Lounge instead. It's in the same terminal and admits two guests free with a Sapphire Reserve.

What it's like

Amex's lounge page lists premium food, spirits, beer and wine, a shower suite, Wi-Fi, TVs, flight monitors and printers. The Centurion site describes a locally inspired menu and signature cocktails, with wines curated by sommelier Helen Johannesen. Upgraded Points (updated August 2026) lists a premium buffet, a refreshment station, a full-service bar, a multi-purpose meeting room, phone booths and semi-private workspaces, plus a shower with L'Occitane toiletries. The menu rotates, so we don't list specific dishes.

It works best as a place to eat and get a little work done before a domestic flight. It isn't a destination lounge. The single shower suite is useful before an evening flight, but you may have to wait for it at busy times.

Crowds: When the lounge fills up, Amex uses a digital waitlist in the Amex app (Membership tab → Airport Lounge Access). The app shows how busy the lounge is and lets you join the line from the security queue. When you're called, you have 10 minutes to check in, according to AwardWallet's walkthrough. Check the app before you walk over, especially at morning and early-evening peaks.

Getting there

Clear security in Terminal B and go up to level 4. The lounge is near the entrance to the pedestrian bridge to the eastern concourse, where United and Air Canada fly from. American's western concourse is a short walk back through the central hall. There is no airside connection to Terminal C (Delta) or Terminal A (Marine Air Terminal), so you can only use this lounge if you're departing from Terminal B. Hours vary, so check them in the Amex app.

Nearby alternatives

All of these are in Terminal B unless noted. See our full LGA lounge guide.

  • Chase Sapphire Lounge LGA: Next door, about 21,800 square feet. Sapphire Reserve gets in with two free guests, then $27 each. It's Chase cardholders only since leaving Priority Pass on Aug. 15, 2026.
  • Capital One Landing LGA: On the bridge to gates 11–31, a dining-focused space for Venture X cardholders.
  • Admirals Club and United Club: For American and United members and eligible cardholders.
  • Delta Sky Club (Terminal C): Only for Delta flyers. Platinum gives 10 visits a year on Delta flights.
