The Capital One Lounge at Dallas Fort Worth sits on the Terminal D mezzanine near gate D22, and it's the lounge that started Capital One's network in November 2021. For a Venture X cardholder flying solo, it's one of the best lounges at DFW: real food, a full bar, showers and a Peloton room, reachable from every terminal by Skylink. The catch since February 2026 is that guests cost $45 each.

How to get in
Venture X or Venture X Business. Show your physical card or the digital lounge pass in the Capital One app, plus a same-day boarding pass with a confirmed seat. Any airline counts. Standby tickets don't. See our Venture X guide for the rest of the card's benefits.
Authorized users. Since Feb. 1, 2026, authorized users don't get in free. The primary cardholder can add lounge access for $125 per authorized user per year.
Other Capital One cards. Venture, Venture Business and Spark Miles cardholders can buy entry for $45 per adult and $25 per child, space permitting.
Everyone else. At most Capital One Lounges anyone can pay $90. DFW is the exception: Capital One's lounge terms limit passes here to Capital One cardholders.
What doesn't work. Priority Pass, Amex and Chase cards. Capital One Lounges aren't in any outside network.
Guest policy
Venture X guests pay $45 per visit (age 18 and up) or $25 (17 and under). Children under 2 are free, and anyone under 18 must come in with a parent or guardian. If your Venture X or Venture X Business account reaches $75,000 in net purchases in a calendar year, you get up to two free guests per visit at Capital One Lounges. Capital One's current terms say that perk lasts through the rest of that year, all of the next year, and until Jan. 31 of the year after. It does not apply at Priority Pass lounges.
What it's like
DFW was the template for every Capital One Lounge that followed, and it's still one of the most fully equipped. Reviews and Capital One's own listings point to:
Food: a mix of hot dishes and grab-and-go items. Several reviewers rank it among the best food at DFW.
Bar: a large full bar, plus cold brew on tap.
Wellness: a cycling and yoga room with Peloton bikes and resistance bands, and relaxation rooms with blankets, eye covers and earplugs.
Showers: private shower suites.
Work: outlets at every seat and fast Wi-Fi.
Crowds: The Points Analyst (April 2026) says it can hit capacity on peak Friday evenings. When it's full, join the digital waitlist in the Capital One app; once you're called you have 15 minutes to check in.
Capital One's code of conduct bans lying down and putting your feet on furniture, so the relaxation rooms are the place to rest.
Getting there
Take the escalator or elevator up to level 3 in Terminal D, near gate D22. Terminal D is American's international terminal and home to most foreign airlines. All five DFW terminals connect after security on Skylink, so you can reach the lounge from A, B, C or E without screening again. If you're leaving from a far terminal, budget the Skylink ride both ways inside your 3-hour window.
