Chase Sapphire Lounge Dallas (DFW): Access, Guests & Review

By Krit · Updated · How we research

Lounge access rules change often — confirm in the lounge's app or the card's benefits page before you fly.

The Chase Sapphire Lounge at Dallas Fort Worth opened July 16, 2026, upstairs in Terminal D near gate D25. At about 18,000 square feet it's the largest of the three bank lounges in Terminal D, and early reviewers rated it the most complete. Verdict: for Sapphire Reserve holders flying any airline out of DFW, it's now the default stop, and two free guests make it the best of the three for couples and families.

How to get in

  • Chase Sapphire Reserve: Primary cardholders and authorized users, unlimited visits, on any airline. Bring your physical card or the Chase-issued Priority Pass in the Chase app, plus a same-day departing boarding pass.
  • Sapphire Reserve for Business: Primary cardmembers only.
  • J.P. Morgan Reserve and Ritz-Carlton card: Primary and authorized users.
  • Everyone else: The lounge opened while Priority Pass members from other issuers still got one free visit a year. That ended Aug. 15, 2026, when Sapphire Lounges left Priority Pass and LoungeKey, so Amex Platinum, Venture X and Citi Strata Elite holders now need a Chase cardholder to bring them in as a guest. Chase's lounge page doesn't advertise day passes.

Guest policy

Sapphire Reserve, J.P. Morgan Reserve and Ritz-Carlton cardholders get two guests free per visit, then $27 per extra guest; children under 2 are free. Chase doesn't list a separate Sapphire Lounge guest rule for Reserve for Business, so check your terms. Down the hall, the Centurion Lounge charges $50 per adult guest (who must be on your flight), and the Capital One Lounge charges $45 per adult, so for a party of three this lounge saves roughly $90–$100 a visit.

What it's like

Check-in is on the departures level, where there's a small seating area and Chase's first grab-and-go fridge (salads, sandwiches and snacks at preview). The main lounge is upstairs, with floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the check-in hall rather than the airfield.

Food is a buffet plus a made-to-order menu you order by QR code from your seat. The menu is Texas-leaning, curated with Dallas restaurant Encina; Boarding Area's Adam Stuart (July 2026) called the buffet one of the best he'd seen. Coffee comes from local Cherry Coffee, the wine list from Parcelle, and the bar serves regional cocktails and Texas craft beer.

The standout is the whiskey lounge behind the main bar, the first in the Sapphire network. A cart offers Texas whiskeys, including a barrel selection exclusive to this lounge, plus old-fashioneds and paired snacks. Both early reviews named it the highlight.

Wellness amenities include two shower suites (Apotheke products), two rest pods, two Face Haus treatment rooms for free short facials, and Peloton stretch and meditation sessions streamed to your phone. There's a family room and a quiet row of recliners at the far end, but only one small phone booth.

  • Crowds: In the opening weeks, Boarding Area found the lounge crowded everywhere but the bar on a Sunday morning, and From the Tray Table advised booking showers, pods and facials by QR code as soon as you arrive, before the lists fill. The lounge's former Priority Pass listing said it may waitlist at peak times and prioritizes Chase cardmembers.

Getting there

Take Skylink to Terminal D and follow signs for gate D25; the lounge entrance is on the concourse and you go up one floor. Because Skylink connects all five terminals airside, American flyers departing from A, B, C or E can use it without re-clearing security; trains run every few minutes, but allow 10–15 minutes to get back to a far gate. Terminal D is American's international terminal, so it's especially handy for long-haul departures.
