Dulles doesn't have a standalone Chase Sapphire Lounge. What it has is the Etihad Lounge on Concourse A near gate A14, run jointly by Etihad and The Club and listed by Chase as a Sapphire partner lounge. It's small, but reviewers rate the food and service highly, and Sapphire Reserve cardholders still get in free with two guests. The catch is distance: it's a long trip from United's C and D gates.

How to get in
- Chase Sapphire Reserve: Chase's lounge page says Sapphire Reserve cardmembers are welcome at the Etihad Lounge with an eligible Chase card or Chase-issued Priority Pass Select membership and a same-day departing boarding pass, on any airline.
- Sapphire Reserve for Business: Primary cardmembers are eligible, per the lounge's Priority Pass listing.
- Etihad passengers: When the partnership launched, Etihad first and business passengers and Etihad Guest Gold and Platinum members kept access.
- Who no longer gets in: On Aug. 15, 2026 Chase took its Sapphire Lounges out of Priority Pass. That ended the one free visit a year for Amex Platinum, Venture X and other Priority Pass members, and Chase's current page lists only Chase cardholders for this partner lounge. The Sapphire Preferred has no access.
Guest policy
The lounge's Priority Pass listing says Sapphire Reserve cardholders and Reserve for Business primary cardmembers get up to two guests per visit at no charge. Elsewhere in the Sapphire network, extra guests are $27 each and children under 2 are free; Chase doesn't spell out the fee for this partner lounge, so expect the same but check at the desk. That still beats the Capital One Lounge in the main terminal, where Venture X guests have paid $45 each since February 2026.
What it's like
It's a dining lounge more than a workspace. You check in at a reception desk on the lower level, which holds the buffet and bar, and a quieter, more polished seating area is upstairs. Floor-to-ceiling windows look over the airfield.
A BoardingArea review of a Feb. 28, 2026 visit (posted March 9) rated it 8.5 out of 10, praising the food, décor, staff and bar. The buffet is small and pre-plated, with more substantial made-to-order dishes and cocktails ordered by QR code; the reviewer's sandwich came in about 10 minutes. There are three individual washrooms and one shower next to the buffet, which you reserve through the digital menu.
Crowds: At about 5,200 square feet it's smaller than Chase's own lounges, OMAAT warned at opening that it may get busy at peak times, and BoardingArea (2026) notes that later in the day crowding may limit entry.
Getting there
After security in the main terminal, take the AeroTrain or the walkway toward Concourse A; the lounge is near gate A14. Every Dulles concourse is connected airside, so United passengers can use it, but from the C and D gates you're looking at a train ride each way plus walking. If you're flying United with a short gap, the Capital One Lounge IAD right after security or a United Club near your gate is more practical. For foreign airlines on Concourses A and B, this lounge is right on your way.
Nearby alternatives
- Capital One Lounge IAD: main terminal, just past security, for Venture X holders.
- United Clubs and Polaris: Concourses C and D, for United Club members and premium passengers.
- Priority Pass: Turkish Airlines lounge (Concourse B) and the Air France–KLM lounge and Virgin Atlantic Clubhouse (Concourse A), all reachable with the Sapphire Reserve's Priority Pass.
- There's no Centurion Lounge at Dulles. See everything in our IAD airport lounges guide.
FAQ
Is there a Chase Sapphire Lounge at Washington Dulles? Not a standalone one. The Etihad Lounge on Concourse A is a Chase partner lounge run with The Club, and Chase's lounge page lists it as open to Sapphire Reserve cardmembers as of October 2026.
Can I use the IAD Sapphire/Etihad lounge with Amex Platinum or Venture X? Not anymore. Since Aug. 15, 2026, Sapphire lounges no longer accept Priority Pass memberships from other issuers, and Chase lists only its own cardholders for this lounge.
Can I use it if I'm flying United? Yes. Access is on any airline, and all IAD concourses connect airside. Just budget time to get from Concourse A back to the C or D gates.
Does the Dulles Etihad partner lounge have a shower? Yes, one shower next to the buffet area, bookable through the digital menu.
