Centurion Lounge Salt Lake City (SLC): Access, Guests & Review

By Krit · Updated · How we research

Lounge access rules change often — confirm in the lounge's app or the card's benefits page before you fly.

The Centurion Lounge SLC opened in late October 2025 in Concourse B, next to gate B31, and at nearly 18,000 square feet it's one of the newest and most spacious lounges in the US network. It has an outdoor terrace facing the Wasatch Mountains, showers and a recovery room. It's also the only lounge at Salt Lake City that admits you on any airline, which makes the Amex Platinum the card to have here.

How to get in

  • Amex Platinum and Business Platinum ($895): Free for the cardmember with a same-day boarding pass on any airline, including Southwest, United, American and Alaska from Concourse A.
  • Delta SkyMiles Reserve ($650): Free when you're flying Delta that day on a ticket bought with the card. At a Delta hub, that covers most SLC departures, and you can also use the 34,000 sq ft Sky Club down the concourse.
  • Centurion (black card): Free, with two guests or immediate family; there's also a VIP room for Centurion members, per OMAAT.
  • What doesn't work: Priority Pass, day passes, Amex Gold, Delta Platinum, or arrival-only use.

Guest policy

Platinum and Business Platinum guests cost $50 per adult and $30 per child aged 2–17; under-2s are free. Since July 8, 2026, guests must be on the cardmember's flight. Two guests per visit become free after $75,000 in calendar-year spend. Delta Reserve holders can bring up to two guests at $50 each on a Delta flight. That adds up for ski families: two adults and two kids on one Platinum pay $110 per visit.

What it's like

Amex says the design is inspired by Utah's topography. Its signature features are a year-round outdoor terrace with mountain views and a fireplace, and an indoor "hearth room" built around a 360-degree fireplace. Launch coverage from One Mile at a Time and Thrifty Traveler describes:

  • Food and drink: A buffet with rotating seasonal menus from Amex's Culinary Collective chefs (OMAAT names Kwame Onwuachi, Mashama Bailey, Mike Solomonov and Sarah Grueneberg), two bars, and a Blue Roast barista coffee bar serving espresso and cold brew. Wines are curated by sommelier Helen Johannesen, per Amex.
  • Recovery room: Loungers, compression boots, massage guns and lighter bites. Thrifty Traveler pitches the shower suites at skiers heading home from the Wasatch resorts.
  • Seating and work: OMAAT reports seating for around 350, with armchairs, dining banquettes, quiet workspaces, phone nooks and reservable meeting rooms.

It's newer and larger than most Centurions, but the network-wide waitlist still applies: if it's full, the Amex app shows how busy it is and lets you queue, with 10 minutes to check in when called. We haven't seen a dated review reporting regular waitlists at SLC yet.

Getting there

After security, head into Concourse B and walk to gate B31. The lounge is adjacent to the gate, in the same stretch of the concourse as Delta's new Sky Club. Flying from Concourse A? Take the underground walkway between A and B, which is airside, so there's no rescreening. Both concourses are long, so allow 10 to 15 minutes each way if your gate is at the far end.

Nearby alternatives

  • Delta Sky Clubs (Concourses A and B): Platinum gets 10 visits a year and Delta Reserve 15 when flying Delta (unlimited after $75,000 in spend). No day passes.
  • United Club (Concourse B, planned): The airport targeted fall 2026; check the United app for whether it's open.
  • Priority Pass: Only Minute Suites and XpresSpa in Concourse A. There's no Priority Pass lounge at SLC.
