Centurion Lounge Miami (MIA): Access, Guests & Review

By Krit · Updated · How we research

Lounge access rules change often — confirm in the lounge's app or the card's benefits page before you fly.

The Centurion Lounge MIA is on the fourth floor of Concourse D, near gate D12. That's the long North Terminal concourse where American and its oneworld partners fly. For Platinum cardholders on American, it's often a better place to wait than the Admirals Clubs down the hall. It has a second bar for wine and beer, a family room and a shower suite. Flyers in the South Terminal (Concourses H and J) usually can't reach it without going through security again.

How to get in

  • Amex Platinum / Business Platinum: The cardholder gets in free with ID and a same-day boarding pass on any airline.
  • Centurion card: Free, plus two complimentary guests or immediate family. They don't need to be on your flight.
  • Delta SkyMiles Reserve: Free on a same-day Delta flight booked with the card, with up to two guests at $50 each. At MIA, Delta flies from the South Terminal, so getting to Concourse D usually means a second security check. Most Reserve holders use the Sky Club in the H–J connector instead.

Guest policy

Since July 8, 2026, Platinum and Business Platinum guests must be on your flight. They cost $50 per adult and $30 per child aged 2–17, and children under 2 are free. Once you spend $75,000 on the card in a calendar year, two guests per visit are complimentary.

Miami has a lot of family and leisure traffic to the Caribbean and Latin America, so this fee is the one most people notice. There's no Chase Sapphire or Capital One lounge at MIA. If you're bringing companions, Priority Pass with two free guests (Sapphire Reserve, Platinum, Strata Elite) at the Turkish lounge in Concourse E is the usual workaround.

What it's like

Amex lists premium food, spirits, beer and wine, a shower suite, a family room, Wi-Fi, TVs, flight monitors and printers. The Centurion site describes a locally inspired menu, signature cocktails and wines curated by sommelier Helen Johannesen. Upgraded Points (October 2026) notes a second bar specializing in wine and beer in addition to the main bar. Its airport page describes the food as self-serve hot and cold dishes and lists semiprivate workspaces. Menus change, so we don't name dishes.

The family room is a real plus here, given how many families fly out of Miami. The lounge works well for a meal before a long American flight to South America. It's a good everyday Centurion lounge rather than a showpiece like JFK.

Crowds: American's afternoon and evening banks to Latin America fill Concourse D. When the lounge reaches capacity, Amex runs a digital waitlist in the Amex app. You can see occupancy, join from the checkpoint, and check in within 10 minutes when called (per AwardWallet).

Getting there

Clear security into the North Terminal and take the Skytrain within Concourse D, or walk, to the D12 area. Then go up to the fourth floor. Concourse E is connected to D airside. The Centurion site says that if you're coming from another terminal, you'll need to re-enter through security with a connecting or onward boarding pass. Ask your airline about the H/J-to-D route before planning a visit on a connection. Hours vary, so check them in the Amex app.

  • Turkish Airlines Lounge (Concourse E): Priority Pass. It's one of the better Priority Pass lounges in the US.
  • South Terminal: Delta Sky Club, a second Turkish lounge (H–J connector) and the 24-hour Avianca/TAP lounge (Concourse J), the last two on Priority Pass.
