Chase Sapphire Lounge Phoenix (PHX): Access, Guests & Review

By Krit · Updated · How we research

Lounge access rules change often — confirm in the lounge's app or the card's benefits page before you fly.

The Chase Sapphire Lounge at Phoenix Sky Harbor is in Terminal 4's South 1 (S1) concourse near gates D11–D18, the Southwest side of the terminal. It opened in November 2024 as the smallest bank lounge in the US, about 3,500 square feet, and Chase started enlarging it in summer 2026. It's a good stop for Southwest flyers with a Sapphire Reserve; just reserve ahead.

How to get in

  • Chase Sapphire Reserve: Unlimited visits. Show your physical card or Chase-issued Priority Pass Select membership with a same-day Terminal 4 boarding pass, on any airline.
  • J.P. Morgan Reserve and Ritz-Carlton cards: Same access; the Ritz-Carlton card is closed to new applicants.
  • Sapphire Reserve for Business: Primary cardmembers only.
  • Reservations: Chase recommends booking entry in the Chase Mobile app because walk-in space is limited. One reviewer who arrived to a full lounge got a text about 10 minutes later saying they could check in.
  • Who no longer gets in: Since Aug. 15, 2026, Sapphire Lounges are out of Priority Pass, so Amex Platinum, Venture X and Citi Strata Elite holders lost their free annual visit. Some coverage says a $100 walk-in pass may still be sold when there's room; don't count on it. The Sapphire Preferred has no access.

Guest policy

Two guests per visit are free, additional guests are $27 each, and children under 2 are free. Authorized users on the Sapphire Reserve get the same allowance. In a lounge this small, a party of three can be the difference between getting in and joining the waitlist, so reserve for everyone. The Centurion Lounge across Terminal 4 charges $50 per adult guest and requires guests to be on your flight.

What it's like

The centerpiece is a retrofitted Airstream on an indoor patio, serving dishes from the larder & the delta, a Phoenix restaurant from chef Stephen Jones. Chase also lists seasonal menus, a Parcelle wine list, signature and local cocktails and Press Coffee. There's a runway-view window, high-speed Wi-Fi and art from the JPMorganChase Art Collection.

What it doesn't have: showers. Chase lists private and accessible bathrooms only, and a 10xTravel review notes no showers, private alcoves, massage chairs or other extras that bigger Sapphire Lounges offer.

Crowds: View from the Wing called it America's smallest bank lounge (about 3,500 sq ft, 78 seats) and noted the seat count overstates real capacity. Reviewers describe the layout as feeling smaller than it is. In June 2026 Chase began work to enlarge it, possibly doubling it, with construction walls expected through about September 2026. Check the app for current status; until the expanded space is confirmed open, treat reservations as essential at busy times.

Getting there

Clear security at Terminal 4 and follow signs for the C and D gates; the lounge is on your left before gate D11 in the S1 concourse. That's ideal for Southwest flyers. American's A and B gates are on the north side of Terminal 4, so allow time to walk back. Terminal 3 (Delta, United and others) is linked only by the landside PHX Sky Train, so T3 flyers would have to clear security again.
