Centurion Lounge Las Vegas (LAS): Access, Guests & Review

By Krit · Updated · How we research

Lounge access rules change often — confirm in the lounge's app or the card's benefits page before you fly.

Las Vegas has two Amex lounges side by side in Concourse D: the full Centurion Lounge opposite gate D1, and the small Sidecar by The Centurion Lounge, which opened nearby in March 2026. The main lounge is the place to settle in; the Sidecar is a quick, sit-down bite when you board within 90 minutes or the big room has a waitlist.

How to get in

  • Amex Platinum or Business Platinum: Card, ID and a same-day boarding pass on any airline — Southwest included. The same card opens both the Centurion and the Sidecar.
  • Delta SkyMiles Reserve: Only on a same-day Delta flight bought with your Reserve card. There's no Delta Sky Club at LAS, so this matters.
  • Centurion (black) card: Free, plus two guests or immediate family.
  • Not accepted: Priority Pass, Amex Gold or Green, Delta Platinum. No day passes, no arrival access.

At the main lounge you can enter 3 hours before departure, or 5 hours before your next flight on a connection. Check hours in the Amex app; the Sidecar keeps shorter hours than the main lounge.

Guest policy

Since July 8, 2026, Platinum guests are $50 per adult and $30 per child aged 2–17, must be on your flight, and kids under 2 are free. Spending $75,000 on the card in a calendar year makes two guests free. Delta Reserve holders can bring up to two guests at $50 each. The Sidecar follows the same guest rules. On a group trip to Vegas, those fees add up quickly: if friends have a Sapphire Reserve, the Chase lounge in Concourse C lets two guests in free.

What it's like

LAS was the first Centurion Lounge. Amex finished an expansion in May 2021 that took it from about 9,000 to more than 13,400 square feet and raised capacity to 464 people, per TPG. The expansion added a reception area with a living wall, three seating areas (including individual nooks), a self-serve coffee station, phone booths, a multipurpose room, a bigger dining room with booths and high-tops, and a renovated bar.

  • Food and bar: A buffet plus a full bar. Upgraded Points (October 2026) notes conference space and seating by a TV wall.
  • Showers: One shower, in a suite alongside the restrooms, according to a reader review on Travel Codex.
  • Crowds: Vegas departure peaks fill it, and it runs the Amex digital waitlist when it hits capacity. The Amex app shows how busy it is and lets you join the queue from security; you get 10 minutes to check in once called.

Sidecar by The Centurion Lounge

Amex built the Sidecar because, as Amex Travel president Audrey Hendley told TPG, "a significant portion of Centurion Lounge visitors stay for an hour or less." It opened in March 2026 and works very differently:

  • Space: About 1,500 square feet with 33 seats, in a back corner near the escalators down to the tram.
  • Entry: Only within 90 minutes of your next departure, with an eligible card, boarding pass and ID.
  • Food: No buffet, no self-serve drinks and no coffee bar. You order made-to-order plates and drinks from your seat by QR code or from staff, from a chef-curated menu that rotates every 30 days, with a target of about eight minutes from order to plate. Wine comes from a curated list.
  • Facilities: Two private bathrooms; no showers, family rooms or loungers.
  • Crowds: It has its own waitlist in the Amex app when it's full.

Use the Sidecar for a proper meal before a tight boarding time; use the main lounge if you want to work, shower or wait out a long delay.

Getting there

Both lounges are in Terminal 1's D gates, which most non-Southwest airlines use. From the A, B and C gates, take the airside tram to D. From Terminal 3's E gates, there's a tram to D too. Moving between Terminal 1 and Terminal 3 landside means a shuttle and a new security screening, so stay airside.
