Best Price Tracker Apps in 2026: 8 Tools Compared

A price tracker tells you whether today's price is actually low, and warns you when it drops. Here are eight worth knowing in 2026, what each does best, and how to choose. Disclosure: KritDeals is our own product. We describe the others as fairly as we can, from their own pages and independent reviews.

Quick answer

  • Best free Amazon price history: CamelCamelCamel and Keepa. Both show a product's price history and send price-drop alerts for free.
  • Keepa's paid plan: Keepa Pro costs €29 a month or €290 a year in 2026. It adds seller data. Price history charts, alerts, the browser extension and the apps stay free.
  • Amazon now has its own tracker: Amazon's shopping assistant (called Rufus until May 2026, now Alexa for Shopping) shows 30-, 90- and 365-day price history and can set a target-price alert for US shoppers.
  • Best across many stores: Google's "Track price" alerts, PayPal Honey's Droplist and Capital One Shopping's watch list all cover more than Amazon.
  • Best if you want deals found for you: KritDeals lists a deal only while it sits at its lowest tracked price, gives every deal a KritScore and is free on web, iPhone and Android.
  • For Black Friday: check an item's own price history before you buy. A "Black Friday price" is only a deal if it matches or beats the item's past lows.

Free tool: check any product's price history before you buy, so you only pay a real low at kritdeals.com/price-check, or in the free KritDeals app for iPhone and Android.

KritDeals

KritDeals works the other way round from most trackers. Instead of you looking up products, it records the price history of everything it pulls from retailer feeds. It lists a tracked deal only while the deal sits at the lowest price it has recorded. When the price drifts back up, the deal comes down. Every deal carries a KritScore, so you can see at a glance how strong it is.

Paste an Amazon or eBay link, or type a product, into Price Check. You get the product's price history, the lowest price we have tracked, live prices at other retailers and a buy-or-wait verdict. Save a deal in the iPhone or Android app to get a price-drop alert on it. This week's verified price drops lists products that hit a new all-time low. KritDeals is free on the web, iPhone and Android.

Best for: shoppers who want verified deals without researching each one. Limit: its price history covers the products it tracks, not every product online.

CamelCamelCamel

The long-running free Amazon price tracker. Paste an Amazon link to see the product's price history chart. Set a target price and you get an email when it drops. Its Camelizer extension brings the charts into desktop Chrome, Edge and Firefox. There is no official mobile app, so on a phone you use the website.

Best for: checking one Amazon product's history for free. Limit: Amazon only.

Keepa

The most detailed Amazon tracker. Keepa shows price history for new, used and Amazon Warehouse offers, and it alerts you to price drops or when an item is back in stock. The charts, alerts, browser extension and the iPhone and Android apps are free.

Keepa Pro costs €29 a month or €290 a year in 2026, up from €19 a month before. Keepa sells it in euros, so the dollar price moves with the exchange rate. It adds data aimed mainly at Amazon sellers, such as Buy Box statistics, the Product Finder and API access. A casual shopper does not need it.

Best for: power users and Amazon sellers. Limit: Amazon only, and the charts can be a lot for a casual shopper.

Amazon's own price history (Alexa for Shopping)

Amazon now shows price history itself. Its AI shopping assistant, called Rufus until Amazon renamed it Alexa for Shopping on May 13, 2026, can show a product's 30-, 90- and 365-day price history in the Amazon app and on the website. You can ask it to set a price alert at a target price. It can also buy an item automatically when it hits your target, using your default payment method, if you turn that on. Amazon says it is available to US customers.

Best for: a quick history check while you are already on Amazon. Limit: Amazon only, and it is Amazon reporting on its own prices. An outside tracker gives you a second opinion.

Google price tracking

Google tracks prices in two places. In Google Search and Google Shopping in the US, you can tap "Track price" on a product, pick details like size or color, and set a budget. Google notifies you when the price drops to it at any store it covers. In desktop Chrome, a panel on supported product pages shows the product's typical price range, a 90-day price history chart and a button to track the price by email. Both appear only for products and stores Google Shopping covers, and availability varies by country and device.

Best for: tracking one product across stores without installing anything. Limit: it only appears on some product pages, and Chrome's history is short.

PayPal Honey

Best known for applying coupon codes at checkout, Honey also has Droplist. Save an item from the browser extension or Honey's website on a supported store, set the price drop you want, and Honey emails you when it hits. It works across many retailers rather than just Amazon, for US and international members. PayPal's own guide says Honey collects shopping data, including sites you visit and purchase history, to provide its features.

Best for: tracking items across many stores while also catching coupons. Limit: it only works on stores where the Honey button shows, and it collects shopping data.

Capital One Shopping

A free browser extension and app that compares prices as you shop, tests coupon codes and keeps a watch list that notifies you when a price drops. You don't need to be a Capital One cardholder. Rewards it pays out are redeemable for gift cards, not cash.

Best for: comparing prices at checkout. Limit: like Honey, it works through an extension that sees what you shop for.

Slickdeals

Slickdeals is a community deal site rather than a classic price tracker. Members post and vote on deals, and you can set deal alerts for a product or keyword so you hear when a matching deal is posted.

Best for: hearing about a deal on something you want, vetted by other shoppers. Limit: an alert fires when someone posts a deal, not on a price history, so check the item's history before you buy.

How to choose

  • You shop mostly on Amazon and want the full history: CamelCamelCamel (simple) or Keepa (detailed). Amazon's own price history is a handy first look.
  • You want to be shown genuine deals, not look them up: KritDeals.
  • You buy from many stores: Google's "Track price", Honey or Capital One Shopping.
  • You want deals other shoppers have vetted: Slickdeals.
  • You don't want to install anything: Google price tracking, Amazon's own history, or KritDeals Price Check on the web.

Whatever you use, the rule is the same: compare today's price with the item's own history, not with the crossed-out "was" price. See how to spot a fake sale using price history, and KritDeals vs CamelCamelCamel vs Keepa for a closer comparison of three of them.

Using a price tracker for Black Friday

Black Friday is when a price tracker earns its keep, because many "doorbuster" prices match a price the item already hit earlier in the year. A few habits help every year:

  • Start tracking a few weeks early. Add the items you want to a tracker now, so you know their normal price and past lows before the sales start.
  • Set a target, not just an alert. Pick the price you would happily pay, based on the item's history, and let the alert tell you when it gets there.
  • Check the history at the moment you buy. If the Black Friday price is higher than a past low, waiting can make sense.
  • Watch more than one store. The same item is often cheaper at a different retailer.

KritDeals' Black Friday 2026 season runs November 20 to 29 on the Black Friday hub, and this week's price drops shows products at a verified new all-time low. For dates and early sales, see our Black Friday guide and Cyber Monday guide.

FAQ

What is the best price tracker app? It depends on where you shop. For Amazon price history, CamelCamelCamel and Keepa are the standard choices. For tracking one item across many stores, Google's "Track price", Honey or Capital One Shopping. For deals already verified at their lowest tracked price across retailers, KritDeals.

Are price tracker apps free? All eight here are free to use. Keepa also sells Keepa Pro, which costs €29 a month or €290 a year in 2026 and is aimed mainly at Amazon sellers. Keepa's price history, alerts, extension and apps are free.

Does Amazon show price history? Yes. Amazon's shopping assistant, now called Alexa for Shopping, shows 30-, 90- and 365-day price history for US shoppers and can set a target-price alert. Outside trackers like CamelCamelCamel and Keepa give an independent view.

Which price trackers work on iPhone and Android? KritDeals, Keepa and Slickdeals have iPhone and Android apps, and Honey and Capital One Shopping offer apps too. Amazon's price history is in the Amazon app. CamelCamelCamel has no official app; its extension is for desktop browsers.

Do price trackers help on Black Friday? Yes. Start tracking the items you want a few weeks early, then compare the Black Friday price with each item's own past lows. If it is not at or below a past low, it may not be the best price of the year.

Do price trackers collect my data? Extensions that watch your shopping, such as Honey and Capital One Shopping, collect shopping data to work. Read each one's privacy policy. Looking up a product's history on a website shares far less.
